For Mandela Day on 18 July, Umfolozi Casino donated Sporting equipment and Linen to Local organisation iZulu Orphan Projects to the value of R10 000.
The organisation primarily focuses on:
• Funding school fees, uniforms and education costs.
• An Early Childhood Development programme that is in action in 26 crèches throughout our 1200m2 area of operation.
• Providing and distributing over 200 monthly food parcels to our neediest families.
• Repairing and building homes families throughout our area of operation.
• Offering HIV and chronic disease testing, support and education

Umfolozi Staff also donated used clothes to the D.I.C.E Charity (Do I Care Enough). Together with the Richards bay rotary club, these donations will be cleaned and handed to orphanages and shelters in the Umhlatuze Community.
